the way camp SHOULD be!

This Year's Calendar

May 25, 2011

As we near the end of May, Day Camp is just around the corner. The long awaited calendar is finally finished and available on the day camp website. Along with the return of our most popular activities and field trips, we will be introducing new and exciting adventures that will keep your children on the edge of their seats the entire summer. Each week is so jam packed with games, swimming, Bible lessons and fun, educational field trips that your kids will not know what to look forward to. They will enjoy playing at two of the largest parks in the area, learning about the importance of milk at Merrymead Farm, fishing at Varners’ Farm, watching an exciting Reading Phillies game, discovering how Herr’s potato chips are made, and much, much more.

As you look at the calendar, I’m sure there are questions raised as to why there is an additional cost for some of the field trips. In order to continue to maintain a safe and affordable camp experience, we ask for only a small amount on some field trips to help cover the cost of gas and part of the ticket price. Please note that the daily cost of camp has remained the same. The price for all the paid field trips is $70 per child. We are also offering a $10 discount if you pay the full amount by the end of the first week. You will only pay $60. For families with more than one child, the cost will be $70 for the first child and $65 for each additional child ($60/$55 with discount). This cost does include Dutch Wonderland. If there is not that much interest in Dutch Wonderland due to the higher cost, I will remove it from the schedule and adjust the field trip prices and discount accordingly.  Click here for the Calendar.
